Haven't you heard of Crazy Kyle who lives in the woods by himself?

He's somewhere between Bigfoot and the Blair Witch.

I can't understand is that literally said or figuratively?

Meaning he's neighbour with them?

Hi,
Haven't you heard of Crazy Kyle who lives in the woods by himself?

He's somewhere between Bigfoot and the Blair Witch.

I can't understand is that literally said or figuratively? Figuratively.

Meaning he's neighbour with them? No.

Tom Smith is somewhere between John McCain and Barack Obama. This is an idiom that means "he has some of the characteristics of each of the two".
