The meanings of these words are almost same but the uses are a bit different.
whole-with no part removed or left out.The whole school knew that she has been expelled.The whole world was shocked after 11th Sept 2001.
entire-complete .The gluttonate the entire cake.
complete-having all its part.I have a complete set of Dicken's novel.Complete works of Shakespeare.
perfect-faultless/flawless/without blemish.No one is perfect.
total-including everything /everyone/absolute.There's an eerie darkness during a total eclipse of sun.
