Hi,
What does the part in bold mean?
Ann unnecessarily flies off the handle at her son, who calls her out on her actions.
'To call someone out' originally meant 'to challenge someone to a duel (often with swords or pistols)'.
Here, it seems to mean 'to argue with her about her actions, to disagree with her over her actions'.
It's not a very common phrase.
A stroll down memory lane is interrupted by a surprise guest.
Is 'stroll' a verb here? No, it's a noun.
Best wishes, Clive
