When we moved in, every member of the family helped with the painting and decorating. And we had strong feelings satisfaction about the result.

Hi,

Does the part in bold sound right to you? Is it better to reword it as "we had strong sense of satisfaction about the result?"

It sounds long and awkward, Angli.  Something like this (note the plural 'results', just like 'plans' when we are making only one):

When we moved in, every member of the family helped with the painting and decorating, and we were happy with the results.

'The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master-- that's all.'

Thanks, Mister.

As for the plural "results," I'm still confused. Why must it be the plural?
