Sir,
1.They are my friend.
2.They are my friends.
Which one is correct?
Here my doubt is aboy "my friend" "my friends".
As ,the subject is "they" and the verb "are" is according to the subject "they".
Should I write "my friends" or "my friend"?
3.This is their book.
4.This is their books.
Which one is correct?
Thanks.

Sentence 2 is correct, because "they" is a plural pronoun meaning several people, and "friends" is the plural form of "friend".
Sentence 3 is correct in the second group, because "this" is singular, and "book" is singular. If you wanted to make sentence 4 correct, you would have to change it to "These are their books", as "these" is the plural form of "this".
