That's a really good question. But even if the first generation immigrants arrive without much English or cultural assimiliation, their kids adapt *really* quickly so in as little as 10 years you have a new generation of people who *look* Korean, Indian and so on, and who may well retain a lot of their culture, but who are insdistinguishable from other Americans in other respects. I suspect that process is much faster than it was in WWI.
