Hi,

In the English cultures that I am familiar with, the major topics that you need to be careful with, generally speaking, are money, religion, politics and sex.

For example, questions commonly avoided include these.

How much money do you make?

What is your religion?

I think Obama is great, don't you?

Are you pregnant?

Why don't you have any children?

What things are taboo in your culture?

Clive
