Yes, these are different:

Take something for granted - Means you do not think about something that you should think about. It is usually used in emotional/relationship circumstances. A classic example is to 'take your mother for granted' - sometimes you don't think about how much effort and love she gives you, and she will say (when she is cleaning the house and you are lazily watching television!) "You take me for granted!" Similarly, a boyfriend or girlfriend may say "You take me for granted - you expect that I will love you without making any effort!"

Take something as given - A much simpler meaning: Something which is so obvious that you do not need to discuss it. E.g. "We'll take it as a given that the sky is blue"
