Hi,

1.'His guilt takes over.'
2.'He vows to go after who ever framed him.'

What do 'take over' and 'go after' mean in the context?

Thanks.

Hi,

2.'He vows to go after who ever framed him.'

What do 'take over' and 'go after' mean in the context?

takes over  - this emotion takes control of or dominates his mind completely.

go after - pursue, in order to do harm to. In this case, in order to get revenge.

Best wishes, Clive
