Lets say I got a call from a customer while working as a corporate receptionist.
I would usually respond him/her with an expression like "Hi! This is (Joe from) blank. How can I help you?"
I find it somewhat awkward to say but there arent any substituable expressions I can think of.
Also, whats the euphemistic way of saying "Whats the reason you are calling me?" in bussiness manner?

One more thing, lets say I am calling someone for both personal and bussiness matters.
And the person who take my call is someone Ive never spoken in my life.
can I initiate the conversation by "I am calling in regard to(regarding)" or "I am calling you because" or "the reason I am calling you"?
again whats the most euphemistic or colloquial way to initiate such request?

Thank you teachers!!!

Hi,

If I were a receptionist at IBM, I would first of all give the name of my company. I wouldn't see any reason to give my name, as I am just the receptionist. Usually, callers don't care what a receptionist's name is.
So, I'd say 'Hello, IBM. How can I help you?'
Or 'Hello, IBM. My name is Clive. How can I help you?'

Also, whats the euphemistic way of saying "Whats the reason you are calling me?" in bussiness manner? 'How can I help you?'

One more thing, lets say I am calling someone for both personal and bussiness matters.

can I initiate the conversation by "I am calling in regard to(regarding)" or "I am calling you because" or "the reason I am calling you"?
again whats the most euphemistic or colloquial way to initiate such request? Those ways are all OK. But start by giving your name.

Best wishes, Clive
