Hello!

Are "telework", "teleworking" and "telecommuting" synonyms?

I'm glad to help, but I'm not a native! And please excuse my typos...

I'm not familiar with the first two terms. They may be British. Working at home electronically connected to the office is called 'telecommuting' here. It's rather a misnomer, though, isn't it?

Yes, it is... My daughter gave me a paper to correct, and it was the first time I saw the word. I thought it was misspelled for "telecommunicating". But maybe it's short for it?
The text she gave me is based upon English reviews, and both "telework" and "teleworking" are used, so yes, I guess they're Brit.

Nope! Not short for telecommunicating.

Commuting is driving to and from work. Telecommuting is "driving to and from work electronically", I suppose!

Telecommuting is especially popular for employees who have a long commute. (a long distance to drive to work)
