Cheers, good to meet you,

Hi Jameszr,
Glad to meet you and welcome to Englishforums!
hi,Joy,which city are you in in India now?I see most Indian can speak good english.I want to know do you
speak english in your day-to-day life or just in work?
I'm in Kolkata. It is true that most educated Indians can write fairly good English, although the accent remains suspect unless they are used to speaking the language on a regular basis.
I myself speak English practically all the time - whether with friends, family(my grandmother ends up speaking a lot of English thanks to me!) or my teachers.
Cheers,
