No, I always _________ (brush/ brushed) my teeth with my toothbrush.

Which choice is correct?

You can actually used either, depending on which you mean.

If you use the present tense, you refer to past action as well as what will continue in the future.

But you can use the past too -

Hey, when you stayed at my house last summer, did you ever brush your teeth with my toothbrush?
Of course not! I always brushed my teeth with my own toothbrush!
