Hi Seloc,

It's better if you try first to write some sentences with adverbial clauses, and then we can see what kind of problems you are having. OK?

Best wishes, Clive

We can answer specific questions on this forum, but we probably won't be able to provide you with the equivalent of an entire chapter or two of a grammar book!  Smile [:)]

since the advent of the coin is a prep phrase in adverb function, and not an adveb clause.

Since I went home late once, I have had to stay in at nights. adverb clause. It answers the question when.

Please note, Seloc'n, that you write the comma and then a space, not a space first and then a comma.

Wrong:  once ,although ,when
Right:  once, although, when

tense agreement is highly important subject in adverbial clauses.

when ı was a student at high school, we could make a comprehensive research on the mammals.

that clause is correct.  but in time clauses, reason-effect clauses and contrast clauses don't need tense agreement every time.

Although you are a member of this assosication, you were dismayed or fired by council yesterday.

As you didn't call me before, we can't participate in the meeting on time.
