Would anyone be able to help and check whether the copy below correct or not?

Overview

Speedy Hire Plc is the UK’s number one tool and equipment hire company. Since the company was formed in 1977, the group has expanded into different markets and different sectors.

The strength of our national network means we are able to move resources between regions so that we can benefit from areas of strong demand

Should  it be 'Speedy Hire Plc are the UK's number one tool and equipment hire company.'

If you do use the singular as in 'Speedy Hire Plc is the UK’s number one tool and equipment hire company.' is it then incorrect to use 'our' and 'we'  in following sentences and paragraphs?

Also, does it matter then if you refer to a company in the singular or the plural e.g 'Sanderson Tiling is' or 'Sanderson Tiling are'?

Many thanks

Jack

Q.1.   No, Speedy Hire Plc is only one company, therefore the singular verb "is" is correct.
Q.2.   Using "we" and "our"  you or they are really referring to people there,  and then you use plural to match the plural "we".   "our"
Q.3    "Sanderson Tiling are" is incorrect, should be singular.   It is like a compound noun, like the noun "crowd", or "group", or "flock" as in flock of birds, all these compound nouns when in the singular form, use singular verbs.  You can, of course, make them plural, like when you refer to more than one crowd, which then becomes crowds, and then you use the plural.
