Love is more than a word,
it says so much.
When I see these four letters,
I almost feel your touch.

This only happened since
I fell in love with you.
Why this word does this,
I haven't got a clue.

why do we use simple past tense in the wood  'happened'?why don't we use simple present tense? isn't that a habitual action which happens not only one time

.

This is not a competent poet, so there is really no explanation for the word choice.
