Which is correct a history or an history?  An UFO or a UFO.  I've always believe that since the letter h is pronounced in history it should be a history.  Words like a master of business administration or an MBE since M is pronouced as "em".  Any word beginning with a vowel or pronounced like a vowel is preceded by an. ex: an eagle, an angel, an UFO, "an honor" the h left out when pronouced hence an.
