P/s: Why don't we say, "... hanging outside near the window" .
You can hang a birdcage (given the right fixtures) in many positions vis-a-vis a window. I see nothing wrong with any sentences I have not marked so.
.
(b) The bird is hanging outside near the window.
Why is that incorrect?
The bird is perched in the cage; the cage is hanging.
The birdcage is hanging outside near the window.
How about the sentence?
Yes, I cannot argue with that, Vincent.
