The man had criminal records for/on/of robbery and theft.
Do all of the bolded words fit in the above and mean about the same? If not, why not? Thanks.
Hi,
A small extra comment.
The normal expression is 'The man had a criminal record for A, B and C'.
Best wishes, Clive
