egotistical, condescending, patronizing ?

Hi,

These are commonly used in a derogatory way, although there are other meanings for the last two. Here are a few comments on the derogatory aspect.

egotistical you think only of yourself

condescending the usual meaning is that you treat someone as an equal while showing them that, really, you think you are better than them. It has the idea of 'you above and  looking down at the other person'.

patronizing very similar to condescending. You act in a way that shows you think you are superior to someone.
