When you try to make an intelligent point and you walk over that fine line where you can make a fool of yourself is very wrong way to do it. Do that in business and you become a paria. Anyone can advice how one should behave in situations like this? A better vocabulary?

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

When you try to make an intelligent point and you walk over that fine line where you can make a fool of yourself is very wrong way to do it. Do that in business and you become a paria. Anyone can advice how one should behave in situations like this? A better vocabulary?

Perhaps this?

There is a fine line between making an intelligent point and making a fool of yourself. If you cross that line in business, you become a pariah. Does anyone have advice on how one should behave in situations like this?

Best wishes, Clive
