A bus/train commutes between two places. Everybody knows that the last stop can be called the destination, but how about the first stop or the place where the bus/train sets off? is there a specific word in English for that?

tks a lot.

Just "stop"! The last stop, or the first the other way round, couuld be a station, a building where busses stop for a while so that people can get on and off the bus.

Sorry, I had misread your question, though given the answer afterwards! As Pieanne mentioned, station.
