Please could someone tell me if this makes sense:

It’s Sunday and as usual it is the time of week when something silly excites me most. Tonight this honour belongs to the discovery of: floccinaucinihilipilification - “the action or habit of estimating something as worthless.” (Oxford English Dictionary, 2003). I love that a word can be so ironically ostentatious. Yes, I’ve been reading through the dictionary again.

This text is only for a personal blog, as such it doesn't need to be perfect writing, but I wanted to make sure I'd got the bit in red correct.

Thanks for any help or corrections.

Yes, I think your sentence makes some sense, given all the background.  However, I believe that 'ostentatious' more readily describes a person.  Your use of the word would be more ostentatious than the word itself.
