The knowledge of death is not an a priori knowledge in our cognitive suitcase, but it is not a posteriore. So, it is not logically correct to accept death as a true knowledge but as a knowledge that we must put in doubt.

Knowledge of death is a synthetic judgement. In other words, without an existential weight to do a true judgement. There is not a logical reason to fear death, however, we are afraid of it, and we would give anything to escape of it.

It is important to note that in the book of Genesis, men eat the forbidden fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil and knows through the fruit, the existence of death.

With the first Adam’s disobedience sin entered into the world. Man when accepting the a posteriori knowledge of death as a genuine knowledge, enters into the existential anguish of believing that is a criature, limited by time. And it is not the case.

However, at that moment, he lost the original grace present in his ignorance about the universe. Man is no longer part of a whole, but is an isolated individual in itself, "hidden" in his individuality, wounded and broke in the soul before the death of the body.
