Hi everybody!

Could you give me basic rules and examples of the structure "the more.. , the more..."

I know it in sentences which sound like idioms, "the more you have, the more you want". Can they be created according new situations?

Yes-- just keep the word forms parallel:

I'm going to get rich, and the sooner the better.
The longer the visit, the briefer the pleasantries.
The more beautiful she seems, the more attractive she becomes.
etc
