Hello, I'm interested in medical science and thinking of buying
a medical dictionary written in English.
Please let me ask you a question.
What is the most popular (and reliable) medical dictionary in the US and the UK?
Thanks in advance.

I would recommend Stedman's Concise Dictionary for the Health Professions, which comes with and audio CD to know how to pronounce the words (American).

Having tried several of them, I opted for Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary. I have several reasons for recommending this particualr one - one important reason being its universal coverage of the medical terms.

Under every headword, comprehensive in depth information is provided so that you can brush up your rusty memory in a short time.

Thanks

My favourite is Dorland's Illustrated Medical Dictionary. There are a number of resources on the web that might help you. Check the "related sites" page of www.talkingmedicine.com
You can find Dorlands online at http://www.dorlands.com/

Hope this helps
