Hello everybody !

What does the expression "the nerve of him !" mean ? :

Mr. Dursley was enraged to see that a couple of them [a group of weirdos] weren't young at all ; why, that man had to be older than he was, and wearing an emerald-green cloak! The nerve of him!

To have the nerve to do something can either mean that you are particularly brave, or that you are partcularly rude.

In this context, Mr Dursley feels that the person wearing an emerald green cloak is showing a degree of rudeness AND courage in wearing an emerald green cloak unsuited to his age.
