Hi,
Can I say,

(a) They took the plane and it took off with / for / about 3 hours to Thailand.

(b) The plane took off (about / for /in ) 3 hours to reach Thailand.

(c) The plane took off and landed to Thailand after 3 hours.

(d) The plane took off for / in  / - 3 hours to arrive Thailand.

(e) They went to Thailand by plane and took off 3 hours.

(f) It took off 3 hours to reach there.
Vincent, here is how 'took off' works in this context.

The plane took off. This means that the plane left the ground.
eg The plane took off in London, and landed in New York..

Here is how 'took' works in this context.
The plane took 6 hours to reach New York. This means that the length of the trip was 6 hours.

Now that you have this information, look again at your sentences and see if you need to change any of them.
Best wishes, Clive
