Isn't that the one about the woman who thinks her husband is dead?  What don't you understand about the story?

I don't know whether she happy or sad with the news. When I read the story, seems like she sad with the news, but when I read the comments by other people, they said that she is happy with the news because she wants to be freed from her husband.

I think she feels sad about his death at first, but then she also feels a wonderful sense of freedom--until she sees her husband alive again.

Just my two cents.

The basic idea of "Story of an Hour" is about a married couple Mr. and Mrs. Mallard. Mrs. Mallard is told her husband was been in a horrible train wreck. Mrs. Mallard first experiences shock of her husbands death, then realizes that she has freedom from her husband. Remember this is a time period of male dominance. However, right when Mrs. Mallards starts to think she has freedom from her husband. Mr. Mallard walks through the door for he had not even been  on the train during the wreck. Due to the shock of the news it causes Mrs. Mallard to have a fatal heart attack.
