I want to take a photograph from the top of that pinnacle.

 Hi,

Does the bolded part make sense to you? Thanks.

Hi,

yes.

But it sounds like a dangerous or precarious or even painful place to take a photo from. Stick out tongue

I do not often hear people use that phrase. It sounds odd. A pinnacle is the top of something / the highest point / culmination. So what do we mean by top of top?

Anyway, when I hear 'standing on the top of a pinnacle', I feel hurt like he.. :-)

Hi Marius,

I stand corrected.

I misread the sentence, thinking of 'on' instead of 'from'. That would be too sharp!
