There isn't. Around here TV news uses local pronunciations, even those not generally considered conservative General American. For example, most newscasters from around here will pronounce "tomorrow" as "tomohrow" rather than "tomahrow". |

Yeah, but I meant on large networks, channels watched everywhere in the world. I don't think BBC or CNN newscasters speak in Jamaican or with a strong Texan accent. The neutral variety I was talking about is more of a set of varieties, without too many strong accents. What people now call "Standard British English" or "General American", even though those two varieties don't exist.
