Hi everybody. I want to learn "those were the days" mean. I have heard this by a song.

Hi Fenerbahceli,
As far as I understood the meaning of this expression in the movies I've watched, it refers to the good days in the past. I mean the speaker has a good feeling towards those days or time, and s/he really enjoyed that period of time.
