'three-dog night'
Does it mean a 'very cold night'?
If so, may I have a sample sentence?
Thank you.

This phrase refers to the Australian Aboriginal practice of sleeping with your dogs for warmth on cold nights when in the outback. The coldness of nights was measured by the number of dogs required to keep warm, the coldest of which was a 'three-dog night.'
