I heard someone used 'traffic flow' to describe a house.

1. What does 'traffic flow' mean here?

Thanks,

Note: You call it 'traffic flow' when cars are moving on a street. It makes sense because they're dynamic.

But all the furniture is static, how would the term apply here?

Hi,

'Traffic flow' refers to the way that people move around inside the house. The kitchen, for example, is a high traffic-flow area, especially in front of the fridge.

Best wishes, Clive
