Dear teachers,
First, I'd like to wish you a very happy Christmas and all the best for the year to come.
Would you please tell me how you would translate the following sentence into English?
Gandhi avait certainement l’habitude d’être habillé comme un européen car il avait vécu à Londres pendant ses études de droit.
a) Ghandi must have been used to dress like a European for he had lived in London while he was studying law.
b) Ghandi must have been used to dress the occidental way for he had lived in London while he was reading law.
c) Ghandi must have been used to dress the occidental way for he had stayed in London as a student of Law.
Kindest regards,
Hela

I like the first one better than the others, although I would prefer

Ghandi must have been used to dressing like a European for he had lived in London while he was studying law.
