___ at in his way, the situation doesn't seem so desperate.

A. Looking    B. Looked

Which one would you prefer? What do you usually say to express the meaning? Thank you!

Hi Tricky

Did you mean to write 'his' or did you intend to write 'this'?

Looked at (in) this way, the situation doesn't seem so desperate.
If you look at the situation this way, it doesn't seem so desperate.

Hi Ahava_yin,

With at in his way, only "looked" works. It describes the situation.

Looking at it his way, the situation ...  sets up an ungrammatical construction: the situaton is not the the thing that is looking.

A way around that is to say "If you look at it his way..." or "Looking at it his way, I don't find the situation to be so deperate" or "Looking at it his way makes the situation seem not so desperate.

I would actually not use the "in," but rather "it."
