Triumvirat are German, yes. They were supposed to release a CD called "Webside Story" in 2002!!!!! You can go to www.triumvirat.org and find some interesting stuff.

Hope this helps! Smile [:)]

Wow, thanks Rau!
I will go have a look. I really liked that band when I was a kid - around 30 years ago!

Thanks for the link, but it needed a minor adjustment.
It should be;

http://www.triumvirat.net/
.net not .org

It's great to see those guys are still at it!

Thanks again for the link. I'm going back in to see whether I can find some downloads Smile [:)]

Hello,

     I just ran across this post. I also know that it was 2 years old now.    First the spelling will cause some grief as it is Triumvirat and yes there is a web site for them. It, unfortunately, does not appear to be well kept. It also looks like they made an album in 2002 (believe it or not) but, it doesn't look like it materialized tho lots of fanfare. I am also trying to research this group. I did manage to download a couple toons off of thier "double dimple" absolutely nothing else from them. I ,as well, did really like them. If by chance this actualy gets to you and you have been able to get some info please forward to me. I am afraid that I have been nothing more that a step towards another wall. there is lot's of info on the site ie: diskology and the likes.

As I said the site looks like it was abandonded in 2005 due to the album "whatever". I also have done searches on Hans-Jurgen Fritz the leader.

again let me know if you get theis and if you have anything else.

Spartacus has a cult following here in St. Louis, MO. I just heard a track on the KSHE Classics Show. I used to have a copy off a cd, believe I got it from the County Library. Don't know if it is still in their collection. Try going to your local library and request an ILL  (Inter Library Loan).

did you get their re-release of SPARTACUS from 2008 (I believe?). Oh, and yes, they were from Germany. Funny, my very first concert ever (at 13 years old in 1974) was ELO (Electric Light Orchestra). Triumvirate were the warm up act and they absolutely/totally blew ELO out of the running. The light show technology was very space age for it's time (they had this like robot droid holding fresnel lights etc) and spinning mirror spots...this was NOT done previous to their show. Each tom of the drums had a sensor for a spot underneath the acrylic/clear floor of the drum riser. During his solo this was an absolute jaw-dropper from the upper balcony. They were ELP on steroids in terms of performance since ELP didn't pull off live so well. Wish I'd have sneaked a camera in to that show, but back then such a stunt would land you in Leavenworth or Tower of London. Today they all go in with photo-phones. Betcha most bands are kicking their own ass for not allowing pix, since there's little from that (aka the best) era of progressive rock concert production. The YES tour of 1976 comes to mind. Geez, HOW could they NOT have filmed that????  Duh!!!!
