Turnover vs revenue?

Hello,

Please read the 2 words below:

1. Turnover.
2. Revenue.

Are they interchangeable? If not, pls help me to distinguish between these 2 words.

I have checked in all of my dictionaries but i can't distinguish clearly the difference meaning between these 2 words.

Turnover = For a company, the ratio of annual sales to inventory = the amount of money taken by a business less the value of the stock held by that company.

Revenue = the income received by an organization "The revenue of the company for 2006-2007 was xmillion." > The total gross amount earned by the company before any deductions for tax etc..
