How do you call a person, whose job is to read the typescript, and evaluate it and correct grammatical errors before the book is printed? (Der Lektor in German)

What is an English expression for a map with no names, just shapes of countries, where you (usually on test papers in school) have to write names and capitals of countries, rivers, seas etc? (Die stumme Karte in German)

1) Editors make the changes, then proof-readers make sure the final version is correct.

2)I'm not sure this has an official name, but geography was not my strongest subject in school. Perhaps an outline map?
