Hi, can someone tell me what FX is? is it like special effects?
secondly, what is the sky's the limit? is it like no limit at all?

'FX' is probably 'foreign exchange', Kynguyen, the process of converting one currency to another, often at a speculative profit.

'The sky's the limit' is indeed no limit at all. Be careful if you are considering this method of investment.

FX can indeed be short for effects, just as you guessed. It's probably mostly used in marketing language/informal language though.
