What do you think that is the best solution to solve the differences of the worldwide people, the Bush's way, which is to destroy all the people who come across or is accused to hide non-existents massive destruction arms; or Jose Luis Rodríguez Zapatero's way, which is to create a  civilizations alliance, to try to live in peace with the other countries, without terrorism and wars, only speaking, all into the UN.

I'm really into the second one, not because he is my president, but because I think that Bush only wants to earn more, not to save the world as he wants that we believe.

What do you think about it?

By the way, if you could correct this essay...

Only two ways? The first one sounds as Hitler-like, and the second seems impractical. Religious fanatics are everywhere, and where was the time we were in peace? I mean, I haven't really seen peace on Earth. I really doubt there would be peace if were were controled by the UN. Absolute power creates problems.  Thinking [*-)]

Bush is my president, and I hate him.  Most Americans know that his election was not legitimately won.  We don't know what to do about this type of thing.  I feel trapped and that the only way out is to hope someone better comes along when Bush's term is over.  Michael Moore has written a book about this called "Hey, Dude, Where's My Country?"

One of the problems is that most politicians are alike, especially in America.  They are given money by the same sponsers, so it doesn't really matter who wins an election because they are working for the same corporate interests.  Perhaps politicians all over the world are like this; I don't know.  I just wonder if your president has something else in mind and is making you think it is all for your own good.  You will have to decide that for yourself.  Good Luck!

There are lot of probems in trying to solve these universal problems. Unfortunately, there is no panacea for it in my opinion. The clash of civilisation is inevitable. There are always people who are bias, feeling that their humanity has been violated; no matter how tender and kind one's agenda is. It is sad, but true.

Hi Catalan Boy,

I´d say that I prefer the way of Zapatero, but i don´t hink that it could be possible! Torrorism will always be there, as there would be always a person or a group that won´t agree with what you say, with the laws and so on..

Ok, I'm gonna be controvertial, and agree with both. We can't just go with the peace and talks - it'd be great, but it wouldn't work. Too many people love violence. We need a mixture. Talk, peace, and war or whatever is needed as a last resort. A very last resort. Bush is to hasty in his wars, I agree, but it's going to take many years, centuries, until we can do without them. Sorry to be pessimistic.
