Such histories are not consistently recorded, but I would suggest that the source of this one (in the sense 'accidentally find') might be in the aboriginal ability to come to and recognize a place where an animal's or enemy's trail crosses one's own.

Thanks for your opinion  it's very interesting to know the origin of words. So it's easier to understand a language even if you're a native speaker or you're adopting a new language.
