Hello!

Can you please check the underlined parts and the whole passage? Thank you in advance.

39.1.7.1. Working conditions of process plants'operators in the oil industry

In the oil field operators conduct and supervise the influx of oil from oil-wells and separation of unwanted things. They prepare the transport of oil by pipeline or by cisterns, supervise the instruments of oil influx, pumps's operation/operating and other. The process of oil separation and preparation is automatized and closed in the system of apparatus/equipment, and in the normal work/operation there is no contact with oil.

A few alterations and additions........see what you think.?

39.1.7.1. An overview for the role of Process Plant Operators in the Oil Industry.

On the oil field the operators manage and supervise the flow of oil from the oil-wells through to the separation of any unwanted materials.  They operate pumps and arrange for the oil to be piped away to tanks, then monitor the oil flows, tank levels, temperatures and so on. The process of oil separation and preparation is automated. It is an entirely closed system and in normal operation the operators have no contact with the oil.

Thank you Likeguslee, Squeaky and Alan.

'In the field' or 'On the field'? Which is correct?

Is the word ''cistern'' ok when it comes to ''oil transport''?
