Hello

upon & over both mean "above".

What's the difference between them?

Thanks

Hi,

upon & over both mean "above".

What's the difference between them?

My hand is upon the table. My hand is touching the top surface of the table.

My hand is over the table. My hand is not touching the top surface of the table. It is higher than the top surface.

Best wishes, Clive
