I am an american living in Texas. Parts of the new law I agree with and some parts I do not. Under the new law if an illegal immigrant can prove that they have been in the country for two years they will be allowed to stay. This is rediculous, successfully breaking one law should not make you exempt from another. Also under the new law any person including preists and doctors who knows of or advises an illegal immigrant would be a felon. The law should not prevent a public servant from doing the job they have sworn to do. For an illegal immigrant to say they have civil rights here is absurd. If I went to any country illegally I would be arrested and deported. In many countries americans are harrased just for looking american or speaking english. Mexicans are not harrased by law enforment here or randomly asked to prove their citizenship.  The law is even more rediculous concerning cubans (of which a great many come to Florida). Any cuban that successfully makes it to america is allowed to stay but any that are stopped at sea are deported.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Anon. In fact, the most difficult part of this immigration reform bill is to figure out who illegally entered into USA two or more years ago. What kind of evidence the government would accept?

Don't allow yourselves to be conned!

The whole problem has been allowed to develop as an excuse for the introduction of a national biometric I.D. card system, and for other purposes.

Hi Anon,

Would you please elaborate your thoughts? What is the relationship between "I.D. card system" and "illegal immigration"?

Will you really allow yourselves to be manipulated and treated as nothing better than farm animals?

Hi Anon,

Yes, if you are an illegal immigrant because illegal immigrants don't have any legal identities in USA.

I'm afraid you are in the wrong barnyard there. They, the illegal immigrants, haven't been branded (issued with biometric I.D. cards), yet. Neither has anyone else, but this (the issue of bio cards) is the purpose of the whole deception.

I guess we are travelling in to two different directions. The original question: Do you think illegal immigration is right or wrong?

... What [is] are your thought on this issue?

With all due respect, the original question asked for our thoughts on the immigration issue, as it affects America. It is a broad subject, and not only the current problem, but also the ramifications, should be considered and discussed freely.

I agree that discussing the ramifications is a good approach.
