Context: 

(In filling out a form) Please  type "the date of registry" as 24 Dec. 2007.

Actually there are many blanks to be filled out in the form. One of them is headed as "the date of registry".

Do you think the sentence marked as blue is properly made?

It's hard to say without knowing what the purpose of the form is, but what I got from it was:

Please type the date of registration in the format DD MM YYYY.

If it's a written form use "write" not "type".
