Sentence B is correct and has always been considered the correct form in traditional grammars. Nevertheless, some grammarians have begun to accept Sentence A as correct as well, especially in informal contexts.

In Google or a similar search engine search on the words 'possessive' and 'gerund'. You will get a lot of hits where you can compare various approaches to your question.

CalifJim & galley0,

Adding to the prior post, galley0 might want to see this article on possessive forms.

I am sure there are many other references as well. But I was curious so I looked it up at the previously mentioned link.

Hi MountainHiker!

Actually, when you do the Google search, that very same article is within the first three or so hits!

Hope everything's going well for you.

Take care,

Hey CalifJim,

I find that general site (http://webster.commnet.edu/grammar/index.htm) to be quite helpful for a lot of topics. So when I saw its link, I visited it first.

It's a great day, so I am going to off here soon and enjoying the outdoors.

Hope you enjoying your Sunday!

Best regards,
MountainHiker Smile [:)]
