My name is ------; I was referred to you by -----an employee of ------.  (------) has always spoken well of (company name) and I was very excited to hear of your need for a technical trainer. Attached is my resume for your review and I hope to discuss with you my qualifications.  In particular take note that I have a strong technical background in providing support for Microsoft Operating Systems, hardware, and Office Suites.  My current position has also given me the opportunity to train customers and associates on the use & benefits of various technologies.  As stated in my resume I have experience compiling training and operating procedures for (company name) services department of which many ideas were carried over into our (new company name) division.  I look forward to speaking with you; I can be reached by my contact information below.

Hi,

Here are a few edits and suggestions.

Your name is at the bottom of this letter I have been referred to you by -----, an employee of ------.  (------) has always spoken well of (company name) and I was very excited to hear of your need for a technical trainer. Attached is my resume for your review and I hope to have an opportunity to discuss with you my qualifications.

In particular, please note that I have a strong technical background in providing support for Microsoft Operating Systems, hardware, and Office Suites.  My current position has also given me the opportunity to train customers and associates on the use and benefits of various technologies.  As stated in my resume, I have experience compiling training and operating procedures for (company name) services department. Many ideas in these were carried over into our (new company name) division.

I can be reached via my contact information below. I look forward to speaking with you.
