Please help me with this, i am writing a letter for a leave of absence.  I suppose to accompy my mom for a vacation, any better ideas.

I am requesting your good office for a leave of absence starting on [date].  We have been invited by my sister for a visit in Ireland.  I will accompany my mother on this trip for this will be first time for her to travel this far and she needs complete guidance in regards to traveling.  I understand that during this time I will continue to be responsible for the employee portion of my health benefits.

As discussed, I will be returning to work on [date].

I will very much appreciate if you could kindly consider my situation

and grant my request.

Thanking you.

 Sincerely,

Dear Mr [surname],

I would like to request a leave of absence starting on [date] and ending on [date].  I would like to accompany my mother on her trip to Ireland, because this will be the first time for her to travel such a distance.  I understand that during this time I will continue to be responsible for the employee portion of my health benefits.

I would be very grateful for your consideration in granting my request.

Sincerely yours,
