'Version" - usually implies something that is different. So a Chinese version differs from an English version. Window XP version differs from Window 99 version.

"Edition" - usually implies a difference by addition or slight changes. A book might have 1st and 2nd edition, with the 2nd edition differeing by additional chapters.

In your example, it'd be more appropriate to use "version".
